Sierra Rehrer

Sierra Rehrer joined our team at Hands-On Physical Therapy in January, 2018, with her main interest being to advance her career in Pelvic Health Physical Therapy.

She has undergone extensive training under Jolene Smith at Hands-On, and is on her way to getting her pelvic health certification through the American Physical Therapy Association. Her hope is to help women locally, as well as internationally, with her skill set and knowledge of the pelvic floor and women’s health both pre- and post-partum.

Sierra specializes not only in women’s health, but also in orthopedics. Her desire to become a physical therapist was sparked when observing a family friend in Indiana who had helped her dad recover from a serious work-related back injury.

She pursued a B.S. degree from Indiana State University for Exercise Science, and then moved to Carlsbad, CA, for Physical Therapy school, since it was her desire to live close to the ocean and learn to surf, while earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree.

Sierra graduated physical therapy school from the University of Saint Augustine in San Marcos, CA, in August of 2013. Since then, she has worked in various physical therapy settings, including out-patient orthopedics, in-patient acute care, home health care, and now specializing in pelvic health, practicing in California, Utah, and now Hawaii.

She lives on the island of Oahu with her husband, Chris, who is a physician assistant. She enjoys being outdoors and being active, including surfing, yoga, running, hiking, swimming, camping and fishing with her husband and friends. She is involved in local and international humanitarian outreach with “Surfing the Nations”, a non-profit located in Wahiawa, Hawaii.
